My Story
Estudio Materia is born from a way of seeing.
From finding beauty in the silent, in imperfect textures, in the light that changes throughout the day.
It is born from the desire to create without haste.
To work with the hands and let each material find its place naturally.
Here, matter is not forced: it is listened to, molded, and slowly transformed.
I am inspired by warm and serene interiors, minimalist architecture, stone, mineral pigments, and objects that convey calm without needing to impose themselves. I create pieces that dialogue with the space, that bring balance, and that endure over time with discretion and character.
Each creation is handcrafted in small series, between Spain and France. Plaster of Paris, resins, and pigments are mixed to create unique compositions, where variations, marks, and nuances are part of the identity of each piece.
I don't seek absolute perfection, but the emotion of authenticity.
Objects with texture, presence, and sensibility.
Pieces designed to accompany daily life, integrate naturally into the home, and gradually become a part of it.
Estudio Materia is an invitation to live slower.
To surround oneself with simple, honest, and timeless beauty.
Why each piece is different
When I mix pigments with plaster, I never know exactly what will happen. The colors move, meet, create veins and currents that I cannot fully control. And that's the beauty of it.
Every piece that leaves the workshop is unique. Not because I decide it, but because the material has its own character. The patterns never repeat. The shades change depending on the light, temperature, and the proportion of pigment on that particular day. No two pieces are alike — and far from being a problem, that's what makes them special.
When you receive a piece from Estudio Materia, you receive something that exists only once. Something that was created by hand, with tranquility, with care. Something that bears the mark of the moment it was made.
